Customer Acknowledgement
The Customer acknowledges agreement with these Terms and Conditions of Sale by the placement of an order to purchase product(s) from The Stationery Shop.
How to Order
1. Online Orders
Select a product:
By Category:
Browse the categories on the left side of the page to find and select the category that you require. Scroll down the page to view all the products in that category or refine your search by navigating through the sub categories. Click on a product for more information and further views. Type in the quantity you require and then click 'add to cart'.
By Keyword:
Insert a keyword in the 'Quick Search' section located on the right side of the page. Use this area to search for a brand name, type, quantity etc (e.g. Crayola Pencils 12 pack). If using more than one keyword, leave a space between the words and do not use punctuation symbols such as a comma, full stop or dash.
By Brand:
Choose a brand from the drop down list and all products available will be listed for you to make a selection.
View the Shopping Cart:
You can continue to add items to your shopping cart as you browse through the site. Each time an item is added to your shopping cart, you will be prompted by a message to Click Checkout to view shopping cart when you have finished. This gives you the option to continue shopping or to go to the Checkout to view the items in your shopping cart. In the 'Shopping Cart Contents' page, an item can be removed by selecting the check box for that item and clicking the 'Update Cart' button. You can also alter the quantity by double clicking on the number entered and typing in the amount you require. If you enter your postcode you can view the estimated freight cost of your order and freight options. International customers can obtain freight charges and convert to their currency by clicking on the flag and selecting the country for the goods to be delivered. Please note that if you have a Coupon Number, you must type this in the box provided and click 'Add Coupon' to update your cart.
Checkout:
Once you have accepted our Terms and Conditions, you have the option to checkout using PayPal or to proceed through our secured checkout. The first step to proceed through our secured checkout is to complete your Billing and Delivery Address details and click 'Submit Address'.
Method of Payment:
The Stationery Shop accepts MasterCard, Visa and PayPal payments. Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) is available by selecting Direct Deposit under Payment Details.
The Stationery Shop does not accept money order payments. The Stationery Shop will only accept cheque payments from customers paying on Business/Customer Account.
There are several methods of payment:
1. PayPal Select this option if you would like to pay using your PayPal account.
2. Credit Card Purchase Select this option if you prefer to pay using your Visa or MasterCard. You will be required to type in your Credit Card Number, CVC Number, Credit Card Expiry Date and the Cardholder's Name. All credit card payments are fully encrypted and sent over a secure network.
3. Business/Customer Account This option is only available for schools, kindergartens, pre-schools, childcare centres and charities. Click here to download an 'Application for a 30 day Account' form or contact us for more information.
4. Direct Deposit Select this option if you would like to pay using your internet banking service to electronically transfer money from your bank account. The Stationery Shop bank account details will be displayed during the checkout process and on the Order Confirmation sent to your email address. Goods will only be dispatched once payment has been received and cleared. Please note that if payment is not received within 7 days of the order date, your order will be cancelled automatically.
2. Fax and Mail Orders
Customers that do not wish to order and purchase over the internet can click here to download and print an order form. Completed forms can be faxed to (03) 9471-9730 or mailed to The Stationery Shop, PO Box 311, Preston, VIC 3072
3. Email Orders
Customers can email their order to sales@thestationeryshop.com.au. The order should include the item number, product description and price of the product(s) to be purchased, the customers full name, address, delivery address, phone number and preferred payment method.
4. School Purchase Orders
We accept purchase orders from schools and government agencies. Our payment terms are strictly 30 days from invoice date. A tax invoice is enclosed with every order unless otherwise requested. Prices
Prices displayed throughout this website are in Australian dollars and include Goods and Services Tax (GST). Whilst every effort is made to list prices correctly, factors beyond our control may vary the cost and we reserve the right to change prices without notice. International customers can go to 'Checkout' to select and view their order in other currencies. Prices will be automatically adjusted to exclude Australian Taxes for international orders when an international adddress and delivery address has been entered during checkout.
Product Availability
The majority of products listed on this website are available to ship within 1-3 business days. Orders received before midday on a working day are posted within 24 hours. If an item is temporarily out of stock or if the quantity ordered is in excess of what is currently in stock, The Stationery Shop will contact you via phone or email to give you the option to change your order, wait until new stock arrives or arrange a refund. Occasionally products may become discontinued during the course of the year. The Stationery Shop makes every effort to delete these items from the website as soon as they become unavailable. If this situation arises, we will give you the option of a credit, refund or an exchange item.
Product Design Changes
All products on our website may be subject to design, colour variation or change (including packaging) at any time. We reserve the right to supply you with the current item.
Product Use
Products must be used by children of an appropriate age and under correct adult supervision.
Shipping
Delivery Time
We deliver Australia wide and internationally using Australia Post and couriers. We process orders within 48 hours of receiving them and actual delivery should be within 2-7 working days for Australian orders paid via credit card. International orders may take up to 7-21 days. Orders paid via Direct Deposit will only be dispatched once payment has been received and cleared. Delivery times are an estimate and will depend on the availability of stock, the location and the carrier. If we experience a delay in processing your order, we will endeavor to contact you either via email or phone.
Shipping Charges
Most items are sent via Australia Post and all oversized and/or overweight items (over 20kg) are sent via courier service. To minimize delivery costs, we do not automatically insure or register our freight, however, if you would like to insure or use Registered Post, this can be arranged at an extra cost. Please contact us for a quote and we can add this to your order.
Regular Parcels under 20kg We aim to keep delivery costs to an absolute minimum, and use Australia Post for most of our delivery services. Each product has been individually weighed and entered into our Freight Calculator including packaging. The freight charged is then calculated using current Australia Post Charges which are based on actual weight, size and the delivery address. This is calculated after you have entered your postcode and during the checkout process.
Express Post Parcels under 20kg Australia Express Post rates as determined by parcel size and weight and delivery code. The Express Post price is calculated in the same manner as Regular Parcel post after you have entered your postcode and during the checkout process. You may edit your delivery information and change back to standard freight if required.
Oversized Parcels over 20kg The shipping cost for oversized/overweight items will be quoted to you via email after you submit your order. Your order will only be finalised after you accept this quote and make your payment.
Freight - Registered Mail You can request a quote for Australia Post Registered Mail. Your parcel will be required to be signed for when you receive it to protect it from theft. If you are not at your delivery address when a driver calls, the parcel will be taken to the nearest Post Office (or freight depot for larger items) for your collection. Australia Post (or the allocated courier) will leave a card for you with instructions on how to collect your delivery. The parcel will remain at the Post Office or freight depot for a limited time. If it is not collected during that time the item will be returned to The Stationery Shop. If The Stationery Shop is to arrange a second delivery, we have the right to charge you a second freight charge, which must be paid prior to us re-dispatching your goods.
Free Local Delivery Service The Stationery Shop offers Free Delivery on all orders over $60 to delivery addresses that are within the following postcode ranges in Melbourne:

Once you have checked your postcode and have confirmed that you are eligible to receive this offer, simply enter Coupon Code: MELB during checkout. Your order will be delivered free of charge using Australia Post-Parcel Post Service. This offer does not apply to Express Parcel Post services. No further discounts apply.
International Freight Charges Cost of International Freight is calculated and added to your order automatically via our shopping cart at the time of processing. International customers can go to 'checkout' to view freight charges and convert to their currency by clicking on the flag and selecting the country for the goods to be delivered. The amount of freight charged will be displayed as "FREIGHT Australian Post-Air Mail".
International customers have a choice of three delivery services:
1. International Air Mail (Standard) Reliable, cost efficient standard service. Delivery time is usually 5-12 business days depending on country and location. 2. Express Courier International (Optional-Contact us for a quote) Reliable, cost effective international courier service. Delivery time is usually 4-6 business days depending on country and location. 3. Express Post International (Optional-Contact us for a quote) Reliable, cost effective international courier service. Delivery time is usually 5-9 business days depending on country and location. Parcel tracking is available for most destinations.
Delivery time is provided as an estimate only. International postal insurance is highly recommended and available upon request. All prices are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD). Please contact us if you require more information.
IMPORTANT - Customs Clearance You must check with your local authorities and your country's customs or import duties, excises, laws and regulations if applicable, before you place an order. The purchaser is responsible for the payment of any additional costs for Custom Clearance.
Goods Lost or Damaged in Transit
Although every care is taken when packaging your goods for transit, we accept no responsibility for goods damaged or lost in transit. Insurance can be arranged at an extra cost.
Returns Policy
Incorrect, Faulty or Damaged items
All products are checked and packed safely to avoid and minimize damage in transit. Should you receive a product that is damaged, faulty or not what you ordered, please contact The Stationery Shop within 5 business days of delivery so that we can assess your claim and discuss refund or exchange options. Once your refund/exchange has been approved, you will be given a Return Authorization (RA) number to include with the items that you are returning. Please note:
- NO claim will be accepted without prior approval and a RA number.
- Goods received without a RA number, will be rejected and returned at your expense
- All goods must be returned in their original packaging.
- A copy of the original receipt or Order Confirmation must be forwarded with the returned goods.
It is your responsibility to organise and pay for the freight cost for goods returned. The cost of the original freight will not be refunded. The Stationery Shop will not accept goods that are sent as collect or non-paid freight and goods sent in this manner will be returned at your expense.
Blackline Masters
All Blackline masters are subject to copyright laws and are therefore not refundable. Replacement copies will be provided for misbound or faulty products.
Errors and Omissions
The Stationery Shop makes every effort to provide accurate pricing and product information. Because of the dynamic nature of this industry (e.g. supplier price changes and other variables beyond our control), prices, promotions, versions and availability advertised are subject to change without prior notice. Please be assured of our every effort to ensure the accuracy; however the documents, text and graphics published may contain technical inaccuracies or typographical errors. The Stationery Shop makes no representations about the suitability of this information; it is provided as is without warranty of any kind. If an error is made or a product is listed at an incorrect price, The Stationery Shop shall maintain the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed. If the order has been confirmed and charged to your credit card, The Stationery Shop shall immediately issue a refund.

Our secure shopping system incorporates industry standard SSL 3.0 data encryption at 128 bit using the internationally trusted Comodo certificates. The secure server that performs the processing of the payment is protected by the latest in hardware firewall technology. This ensures your private information is kept private throughout the payment process.
The Stationery Shop will take reasonable steps to keep secure any personal information which we collect and retain. Personal information is stored in a secure server or secure files. Although we take all reasonable steps to ensure your data security, the Internet may not always offer a secure method of transmitting information. Accordingly, The Stationery Shop cannot accept responsibility for the security of information you send to, or receive from us over the Internet or for any unauthorized access or use of that information.

Privacy
The Stationery Shop's management of and practices with respect to personal information are in compliance with the relevant Privacy Laws and are set out in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the content, completeness and correctness of any personal details or information you supply to The Stationery Shop. By using this website and supplying The Stationery Shop with your personal information, you are taken to have read and understood our Privacy Policy.
